Art is a form of rebirth for both the artist and the viewer. Allowing one to explore without the burden of reality, while also having the potential to ignite change through its unraveling and deeper examination of ideas.

As artists we consciously and subconsciously alter the depiction of self through the process of making art. Furthermore, a rebirth occurs in every work created and through each viewers interpretation.

In this group exhibition, the artists explore this concept of rebirth within an arts practice, and its connection to our real existence. The artworks remain unsigned, providing freedom for each artist in their contemplation. This action becomes a metaphor for the subject. The collection of works detached from the names of the makers, in turn enables the viewer to detach from their own preconceptions.

A rebirth carries the knowledge of the past but must start afresh; it is a beginning with new insight. By acknowledging what has already passed, and then looking forward with fresh eyes, both viewer and artist may find a new path.
